Control Day

The difference between the active and the passive aspects of this souvenir collection is daunting. I am coming up with ways to reduce my active collection, all the things I control coming into my house. But there a huge amounts of paper, in particular, that we receive passively. Junk mail, receipts, flyers, and throw away newspapers suddenly seem like an assault.
This is my day to freak out about this project. I have been wrapping trash for hours rather than sleeping. While quite lovely, the process is unexpectedly laborious. Also, there is so much of it, I am not at all sure I can display it all.
If it weren’t for Allison King, this blog would never have happened. Allison helped me format the compost images, figure out how to post images, and generally support my fledgling technical life. Thanks
Ideas:
-I am going to try and send back my junk mail by writing “return to sender." I have to ask the post office because this seems just too simple.
-We are going to making a lot of paper. We need thank you cards, so perhaps this is a good thing.
-From the paper I make, I will create "business cards" for this blog.
